About Us

Ken Potalivo is the CEO of ProGrowth, a highly successful firm initially starting as a professional coaching practice for service professionals in 1997.

Ken holds a degree in Psychology from Edinboro University and an MBA from Pepperdine University and has an accomplished background in business.

Over the last eleven years ProGrowth has conducted thousands of coaching sessions with senior level service providers of various disciplines such as lawyers, accountants, bankers, real estate brokers, and consultants to name a few, who have the challenge of not only doing quality work for their clients but, have the added pressure of developing new business in any economic environment.

The key to ProGrowth’s success has been to create significant peer competitive advantage through qualitative and quantitative means. The transformation of viewing oneself not just as a technician but, as the CEO of one’s businesses/practice has developed a level of understanding required to operate confidently in a highly competitive marketplace.

A key quantitative component has been employing the use of the firm’s proprietary Integrated Practice Management System©. Through the years of experience, it has developed into a platform which clearly lays out what is to be accomplished in terms of market focus based on a professional’s distinctive capabilities and the functional requirements to get the desired results. Results can be measured and has given professionals the ability to adjust to market conditions to exploit growth opportunities.

Professionals who are passionate and committed to their businesses/practices, have been able to outperform their competition and themselves resulting in being consistently high performers in terms of their revenue generation, return on investment of time, income and profitability to their firms because they understand the  behavior changes that must be sustained for a successful transformation. The level of accomplishment has had not only a positive impact on their professional lives, but on their personal lives as well.

Having had the opportunity to work with so many service professionals of various disciplines over the years, the firm has been able identify the three key elements of being a consistent high performer. They are:

  1. A written plan and execution is a must - Without a blueprint of what will be accomplished there is no perspective. No starting point or ending point. Objectives cannot be communicated and others will not know how to help. It is simply shooting from the hip and hoping for the best which is a formula for failure in a highly competitive marketplace. A written plan clearly identifies what is to be accomplished and how it will get done. It is quantifiable and measureable. It can be shared so that others will know how to help. It can also be monitored so that needed adjustments can be made along the way to stay on track. A 1979 Harvard Business study showed conclusively that those who have written goals were exponentially more likely to achieve them than those who do not have written goals.

  2. A supportive environment - To go from being a good technician to being a great CEO is not easy. The process can be very lonely and a lot of time can be wasted because the trail has never been blazed. Working with a coach or being involved with other high performers in a support group who can offer the benefit of their experiences allows a professional to learn, to build confidence and to get better results in less time.

  3. A predictable relationship systemNo entity can survive without a predictable distribution system. It must be quantifiable and measureable. Time challenged professionals must have a way to meet and develop relationships with the key people who will help drive their business, other than attending a myriad of minimally producing networking functions that are huge time consumers. Every professional that depends on referrals must have ongoing access to the right professionals who have the ability to refer the right clients.

Those three critical attributes for high performers are the pillars for the ProGrowth TEAM program. In 2005, Ken along with his staff, began the journey to fulfill a vision to create a community of professionals throughout the United States who are high performers and who have the ability to push the envelope for each other.

This odyssey has involved using the power and reach of the internet combined with the importance of personal relationships and community. The Integrated Practice Management System© has been converted so that it is web based and is the foundation for all TEAM members so that they have clarity of purpose and use the same quantitative measurements to help one another. The ProGrowth TEAM portal gives members access 24/7 to their own plans and keeps them connected to their TEAM as well as the community.

Through the development process, beta TEAMs were created in Southern California to give professionals an opportunity to help one another at a higher level. The activities of the TEAM were studied in order to identify and implement the optimum benefits to the members of a TEAM.

ProGrowth is now ready to reach out to all purposeful professionals and their firms throughout the U.S. who want to be high performers. The growing ProGrowth TEAM Community is quickly becoming the destination for service professionals who want to stay ahead of the curve, build/sustain a solid book of business and to do it with other high performing professionals who "get it" and are committed to their own success.
